Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. It’s deliberately short because we deliberately collect very little. Last updated: August 2026.
What we collect
Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date and time you signed up. We also keep a one-way hashed form of your IP address purely to prevent spam and abuse — it can’t be turned back into your address. We do not collect your name, phone number, or anything else.
Server logs: like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, timestamp, browser) for security and troubleshooting. These rotate and are not used to profile you.
How we use it
Your waitlist email is used for one purpose: to tell you when the official Aavot app launches, plus the confirmation email you receive when you sign up. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for marketing.
Consent and double opt-in
Joining the waitlist is explicit opt-in: you tick a consent box and then confirm via a link we email you (double opt-in). If you don’t confirm, you’re not added.
Your rights
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your details and we will remove them promptly. Clicking unsubscribe already deletes your waitlist record.
- Access: email us to ask what we hold about you.
These rights apply under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and, where relevant, the GDPR.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We don’t run advertising trackers on this site at present; if that ever changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where required. Your dark-mode preference is stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
Email delivery
We send waitlist email through a reputable third-party email provider purely to deliver messages reliably. They process your email address only to send our messages, under their own data-protection terms.
